Latest news from CVPA

  • The original 1855 Vaux and Withers architectural drawings of the Hoyt residence have been located!

  • CVPA is progressing on repairing and re-opening the Hoyt Carriageway Bridge in Staatsburg, the historic main entrance to The Point and the long-popular hiking trail into Mills Norrie State Park.

  • Kyle Toth of PS&S LLC has written a narrative for an “official” walking tour of The Point, soon to be publicly available.

  • CVPA’s efforts to re-purpose The Point were the focus of a meeting with NYS Assemblymember Didi Barrett, representatives of the NYS Historic Preservation Office, and others, regarding the future of the site.  A second meeting was held recently with State Senator Hinchey’s office.

Gray skies and drizzle didn’t deter over 75 guests to attend our summer fundraiser at The Point.
